Love this, the little ripples, so noice.
I really like this app!
Skala is really awesome~
Those slight ripples give it such a plastic look now. Well done.
Ripples are awesome. Another thing that really stands out with inflatable balls are the little mold creases. Doesn't need it in this case, but another nice detail.
Marc，I use it every day ；）
Well executed. I might be wrong, but Marc, are those brushes I see?
Well, details are removed. It's more smooth!
Thanks all. :)
@Ryan Katkov I gave those a shot and never got them looking right, so they didn’t make the cut.
@Eli Schiff What kind of brushes?!
Skala's now an app I use everyday - and now it has a nice icon!
@Marc Edwards ✎ Bjango I was thinking this and the background, though the background may just be a texture. is that just several layered feathered vector shapes?
i love this app
@Marc Edwards ✎ Bjango I need the update for Android,please
Would love to see the update :)
@Eli Schiff The texture and a lot of the shading is actually a big texture, rendered in 3D, with colours provided by gradient maps with vector masks. That approach gives the best of both worlds, in my opinion — fast and realistic shading, but precise control over colours with sharp vector edges for resizing.
@Jiangping Hsu The Android app actually has the newest icon of all the apps (it's slightly older than the one shown here). We’ll be updating that soon to give it the very latest version of tie icon.
@heeyeun Thank you!
@Chris Allen Thanks!
@Aditya Nugraha Putra We’ll be releasing it as soon as possible! It’s only going to be a small update, but it’ll contain the new icon, which is something good, I guess. :)
@Marc Edwards ✎ Bjango I download iOS & Android App,but the latest Android app(V 1.0) is not work with my Nexus 4,but iOS is ok,Perhaps there are some BUGS ,please fix them ,i need it on my Nexus 4,i am waiting for the update every second，Thank you!
@Jiangping Hsu We’ve done lost of testing on a Nexus 4 (that’s the phone I bought for testing... I love it!). Hopefully we can improve the Android networking. Does the app crash? Have you tried it on other Wi-Fi networks? Most of the issues we’ve seen on the iOS app relate to Wi-Fi or firewall issues. Creating an ad hoc network from your Mac can be a good way to get a clean network for testing. I really wish we could send via USB — it’d resolve most of these issues.
@Marc Edwards ✎ Bjango OK,I will try to creat an ad hoc network from my Mac . Send via USB? it is a good way!Long ago,i used this https://code.google.com/p/android-ui-utils/ but SKALA is the best!!
Love the lighting! Great app.
@Marc Edwards ✎ Bjango - Love the apps. Just interested in the reasons why sending via usb isn't an option on Android. Would be an awesome alternative due to work firewall issues.
@David Wilson It might be on Android. We may have to investigate further (it’s nice having both platforms work the same way, but maybe the advantages of USB trump that).
@Supersteil Thank you!
@Marc Edwards ✎ Bjango cool! I look forward to see what you decide. Would be an awesome addition for Android users. Thanks again.
@Marc Edwards ✎ Bjango That's awesome, thanks for sharing your process. I'll be working in 3D on my next icon project. I'll have to explore 3D texture mapping on it and see how the results are.
