Hi folks,

The panel at left is list of users, hover state shows user name. We already recognise them from photos, right? No need to show names as default. The blue avatar overlay with number *2 tells there are 2 new messages from that user, so you just click on it to jump into that chat.

Plus you don't have to see faces all the time, just click top-arrow to open/close the user panel. You will still be notified (blue circle with 2) when you have new message from someone.

Update:
The image shows all hover and different states at a time which makes it look little too much, but in normal use it is not the case.
