Houston Rockets monogram

I’m not a Rockets fan, but I’ve noticed that their current logo is fairly polarizing. Some people love it, and some people hate it ...I think I’m somewhere in the middle. So, here is my attempt at a Rockets monogram. I like their throwback red/yellow palette more than their current red/white/black one, so I went with that. I said it before and I’ll say it again- it’s hard to design an NBA logo without a basketball. I’m thinking this might be a bit too simplistic, but what do you think?
