    Hi guys,

this is the initial design for new side project I'm working on. Can't say much at the time being. The only thing to point out is that the layout should somewhat remind of Twitter app so that people used to twitter should quickly get used to this app.

I had quite a lot versions of the social piece of UI, and the current iteration you can see on the screen. It's a popup to access user's profile on three famous networks.

    I also attached hd previews:

    with the social popup
    and without

Don't forget to check @2x - looks waaay better!

That's it for now but more is coming.

Looks great! Any reason why the nav icon is in the top right and not the top left? If not, I'd consider swapping its position with the search icon. Otherwise all looks super :)

Thanks @Olly! Is there is a reason. In fact the Search function is very important in this app and will be used a lot. At the same time the menu is only going to be available on Profile view (at least following current UX).
Btw currently the Menu is shown in "active" state but I consider leaving it colored for good. Adds some unique touch in my opinion.

Ah I see, if it's specific to the profile page that makes a lot of sense to be on the right then! The coloured button definitely adds a unique element to the design, but it also makes it much more dominent than search. If search is going to be the primary function as you hint at, then maybe that could be coloured instead of the menu button?? Just throwing ideas out there....!

And thank you for that! :)

Yeah I definitely was thinking along the same lines, but search is something that is "always there". Actually I don't think it needs anymore emphasis other than user can always find it on the left. I think I agree that coloring the menu makes it more prominent, I wanted to say "hey, there is not only search available, you can do some other cool stuff on this screen, just tap this green guy".

I'll definitely have more thinking around that.
