Everyone knows linkedin. But it is such a terrible site to use. So many unnecessary features, so little structure.

I decided to spend some evening hours to design a improved linkedin. Focus on usability, and a new clean style.

I know it's not finished yet, it needs lots of improvements and polishment but I wanted to share it anyway.

Make sure you check out the site I created for this: here!
If you like this concept, please share it!

Interesting! I'd love to see more on the profile / experience / recommendation parts! Some crazy opportunity for that with your ideas! :)

The current design is so damned cluttered and overloaded. The UX is just terrabad. Blah.

Ivo, this is great. I don't even bother with Linkedin because it's such a mess. This UI would make me reconsider.

always interested in seeing stuff like this. But im sure its not as easy and this and the 100's of staff at linkedin aren't trying to make it bad. Probably. There's different stakeholders, loads of different users doing different things with this site. I love your design don't get me wrong but linkedins UX problems probably go alot deeper than we think... keep it up though!

thanks @Philip Readman I agree. This was made from my point of view: I am using linkedin mainly to find connections and to look at their profiles.
And I'm sure they are doing what they can, I've worked at a business like that and know how hard it is to make changes...

I have a linkedin account, but just hate looking at it. This, I'd log in just to see it. Great work.

I liked this months ago but as I started using linkedin more I remembered this design, if only it actually looked like this, such a good design
