I'm pretty excited to start touching the web portion of Lovely. At least the parts you guys can see for now. Most of this search functionality made it to production, except the listing number indicators, which was a "nice to have" anyway. More to be coming soon.

Go check out livelovely.com/search to see this guy live.

The auto-complete results are 100% spot on, nicely spaced which makes them easy to scan.
I think you guys should make the map area darker when searching too - like what you do when you click the "Filters" button -> http://cl.ly/Np9I

@Kerem, my feeling using the search: I just need two clicks to achive my goal, but you're forcing me to make a 3rd unnecessary click.

When I click on something on the auto-complete I'm saying "that's it. That's what I want", so it makes no sense to force the user to click on the "Search" icon in my opinion. Video: http://d.pr/v/8wPA

Nothing to say about the UI, as asual. Great work indeed ! ;)

@André Oliveira good feedback, and thanks for taking the time to record the screencap as well. I think you could be right for a product like google or bing, but lovely is an apartment search company, so efficiency weighs a little more than speed. What I mean by that is, before you click on that search button, people often optimize their search, so you don't want to spit out the results right away but let the user breath and use the filters. But this doesn't make you wrong, I think what you're saying is a step in the right direction for any product with search functionality. I guess I just wanted to say, there's more to it than just speed. Again, thanks :)

Love it sir! One thing I'd advocate for is being able to arrow through search results. I always appreciate being able to nav with the keyboard rather than reach for my mouse.

    Nice! I really like it
So it pulls home listings from craigslist and displays the data in a map view? Is the data being pulled from other places too? ... Does craigslist have an api or do they scrape the site to get the data?

Also a quick suggestion...when you hover over a number in the map that has multiple listings, then the side menu pops up, if I move my mouse to scroll through the listings, the menu disappears because I'm no longer hovering over the number... you could add a 1 second delay and it would make it easier to scroll through the pop up menu with multiple listings on hover... 1 second is enough time for me to move my cursor to to the pop up menu
