Release squad (docs and comms) on WordPress 5.4; release co-lead, WordPress 5.2.2.

I understand and read better php and JS than I write, but have grown enough neurons in those areas that I think and act like a dev in real life.

On WordPress 5.4 I wrote some pretty good copy (including the About page) and edited some developer docs with an eye toward lighting a fire under the reader (not just showing them how smart we all are) and I hope it pays off in some measurable way over the life of the product.

I've spent most of the last decade building WordPress sites with vanilla CSS in the Genesis Framework, in STL and the California desert, primarily in tennis, along with client work in print and sales promotion and some speaking on CSS features like Grid and Flexbox as they gained browser support.

Before that I had a varied career in sales promotion, direct marketing and corporate communications as a writer, art director and creative director with clients in tennis, finance, B2B and automotive.
