Lead Product Designer

Lead Product Designer

At Software, we're applying observability to development management. With data from over 100,000 developers across the globe, we’re uncovering insights about productivity, performance, and the future of work. Our goal is to understand why high-performing teams outperform their peers by ten or even a hundred times.

As Lead Product Designer, you'll be responsible for defining the developer experience, with the goal of impacting millions of developers on a daily basis. You'll help our team find product-market fit, craft data-driven customer journeys, and create visualizations that pull out the signal from the noise.

What you’ll do

  • Create engaging customer journeys, applying the principles of design thinking
  • Build wireframes and prototypes across our product interfaces
  • Conduct research to understand customer pain points and feedback
  • Collaborate with our engineering team on implementation, including using reusable frameworks, repeatable UX patterns, and modular design
  • Work with our data analytics team to create data-driven content and stories on our website and in our app

What we’re looking for

  • You have a versatile skillset. You have a solid grasp of common UI patterns, a good sense of product strategy, and an eye for graphics.
  • You think critically about problems. You ask a lot of questions and you don't jump to solutions.
  • You respond well to feedback. You can confidently chart a course with minimal guidance.
  • You pay painstaking attention to detail.
  • You have a strong portfolio of projects you've worked on in the past.

Who we are

We quantify the craft by collecting data across the stack to help developers learn from their data, increase productivity, and code smarter.

Trust in data matters. We believe in developer privacy, productivity, and happiness. We never share data with managers and we build products that we want to use ourselves.

We are 100% remote. We will always let our employees work from anywhere.

We are backed by 8VC and Next47. We have raised $9M in seed funding to date.
