Remote UI/UX Designer- Instructor
DigitalCrafts is seeking a talented UI/UX expert to join our elite team of instructors. This is a unique opportunity to craft custom curriculum and build a design class from scratch. This individual will be an integral member of our team who will lead the development of a new curriculum for beginning designers, as well as the launch and instruction of our first UI/UX Classes. We are looking for an individual who is both passionate about teaching and motivated by our company’s mission. We value each instructor’s experience, creativity, willingness to learn, and ability to have fun. Join a team of creative technology experts who are interested in training the next-generation of “builders” through a rigorous (virtual) classroom learning experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Crafting curriculum and exercises for a new course offering in UI/UX.
- Once the curriculum is classroom-ready, leading a cohort of 15 to 30 aspiring students, Monday - Friday, 10am - 5pm ET.
- Staying abreast of design techniques and practices to ensure our curriculum evolves with what our industry needs. Maintaining curriculum.
Ideal Qualifications:
- 5 years of professional design experience in UI/UX design.
- Portfolio demonstrating experience and skill.
- Teaching experience is a plus, a desire to share with others is a must.
- Expertise in UI Design including product sketches, wireframes, visual designs, mockups, conceptual designs and layouts for user-facing functionality.
- Familiar with design across different platforms (web, mobile, etc)
- Experience conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and using modern UX software.
- Outgoing, friendly, reliable, organized and patient
- Ability to break down complex concepts into digestible pieces
- Must have excellent English writing skills and grammar.
- Must be comfortable teaching remotely.
- Ideal candidate will be located in GA, TX or FL.
