UI / UX Designer

About the role

The role is about taking an award-winning product suite and re-designing the next generation, while building all UX/UI capability. It requires a strong level of UX thinking and will review the existing product suite to take it to the next level. 

It is a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership and ownership of the design and build a UX capability from the ground up. You will work in the Product team using agile and product driven methodologies and directly with customers to design the future versions of the products. You will also work with the company founders to ensure the product strategy is delivered through sleek, smooth and customer-centric designs. 

We continue to grow year on year and are now looking forward to adding a passionate UX/UI designer to the team. We have won a host of awards including the prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise and we aim to continue to push the boundaries and transform the rail industry. 

Role responsibilities  

  • Own and lead the full design development cycle: 
  • Conduct user research, competitor analysis and data analysis 
  • Develop, share and own a design vision 
  • Utilise user stories, personas, and storyboards 
  • Design journey mapping and user flow architecture 
  • Conduct usability testing 
  • Create wireframes and prototypes 
  • Work collaboratively with product owners and developers on a day to day basis 

Skills and experience

  • 3+ years plus ‘UX’ Design experience as minimum 
  • Experience working in a digital product company is highly desirable 
  • Have developed websites, both on desktop and mobile  
  • Constructive leader of product design who enjoys problem solving 
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead decision making 
  • Creative mindset with no aversion to thinking outside of the box 
  • Ability to engage and communicate with all teams and build strong working relationships  
  • Willing to engage in proactive and open stakeholder dialogue.
