User Experience Designer

The Job

Avenue 8 is looking for a User Experience Designer who can conduct user research, develop thoughtful information architecture, and execute on detailed wireframes and user flows that will serve as the baseline for design and development efforts. This candidate will be responsible for building a clean and effective user experience for our users that also breaks industry conventions. By working cross-functionally, this candidate will understand needs from the product management, engineering, and business stakeholders and will be able to build solutions that fit those needs. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure that established design standards are consistently and appropriately applied within design work
• Engage with product management, engineering, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to understand the business goals and user needs underlying our product landscape
• Develop and present documentation, user flows, annotated wireframes, and interactive prototypes
• Leverage user testing to make product improvements

Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for transforming the real estate industry through design and technology (prior experience in real estate not required)
• 3+ years' of experience in user experience/interaction design (start-up or product design agency experience preferred)
• Experience with responsive design, with an emphasize on mobile application experiences
• Highly proficient in visual design and wireframing tools
