Digital Media Specialist

Communications, Design and Digital Media Specialist Full Time Position (Washington DC)

C- Quest Capital LLC (CQC) is a social impact investor, project developer and climate =inance specialist whose mission is to transform the lives of in the poorest communities in the developing countries by providing them access to clean and sustainable energy services and clean energy technologies and improving the health and wellbeing of women and children. CQC was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Washington DC, USA with subsidiaries in India, Malaysia and Cambodia.

CQC is a leader in providing clean ef=icient cooking and lighting services to the rural poor worldwide and has growing businesses in renewable energy production and supply, and sustainable agricultural land use and forestry. Our projects are implemented either through our own operational platforms and subsidiaries or through closely managed partnerships and joint ventures with on-the-ground organizations.

We have active investments in over 13 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, and South and East Asia that have thus far improved the lives of over 20 million people.

CQC employs over 30 full-time staff of investment, project management, and carbon professionals based around the world including Washington DC, India, Malaysia, Cambodia, Malawi, and Zambia. In addition, we regularly draw on a pool of individual consultants, collaborating NGO and private sector partners, and staff of our joint venture partners.

Background and justification:

Digital media plays an important role in CQC’s operational processes, raising investment capital, developing corporate partnerships, and general awareness raising. In addition, use of digital media platforms helps position CQC as a thought leader, expands outreach and broadens engagement around our projects.

Purpose and objectives:

Under the guidance and supervision of the CEO and Operations Team, the specialist will assist CQC in (1) development and production of multimedia content in order to increase audience engagement and investor awareness (2) website and social media management and coordination, (3) preparation of operational materials, project briefs and presentations under a coherent brand and style, (4) developing investor pitch materials, including investment teasers and management presentations in collaboration with CQC investment professionals for raising investment capital and developing and management of investment and product distribution partnerships.

Tasks

Content Creation

Proactively create editorial content (stories, photos, campaigns, audio, video, infographics, etc.) in cooperation with Operations Team and adapt for media pitching, web and social media, posting daily to respective channels.

Prepare project briefs, project presentations, investment presentations, operational procedural documents in cooperation with the Operations and Sales Teams

Investment Presentations

Prepare teasers and management presentations with content provided by CQC operations and investment professionals

Social media management

Develop and continuously update and implement a digital engagement strategy. Stay on top of social media trends and have a solid understanding of the various SM algorithms.

Maintain a web and social media calendar and content plans of content themes and all upcoming coverage schedules according to the calendar.

Actively engage with online audiences through social media channels.

Deliverables

Stories, social media posts, videos, images, infographics, photos posted to digital channels.

Briefs, presentations, documents.

Slide decks and Information memoranda designs

Monthly web and social media calendar created and adhered to.

Timely responses to messages and comments, monthly reports on levels of engagement.

 Website update and content management

Manage website on a daily basis and work to continuously improve the design of the website; ensure key deadlines are met for the dissemination of time-sensitive content.

Understand and implement a solid SEO strategy.

Timely updates and monthly reports on improvements and content plans.

Boost link equity by using established relationships with the media and social media in=luencers and bloggers.

Generate and analyse reports on web traf=ic and KPIs using Google Analytics and other social media focused analytics channels.

Company Branding

Further improve and enhance existing brand identity for all company guidelines and documents.

Location

This position will be based in Washington DC.

Supervision

Content revisions and new postings, quarterly and yearly reports.

The specialist will report to the CEO for direct supervision. They will work in close cooperation with the Operations and Sales Team.

Travel

Occasional travel to CQC project sites in the developing countries.

Qualifications or specialized knowledge/ experience required:

Education

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in journalism, marketing, social science, communication or a related field.

Work Experience

3 or more years of experience in journalism and/or writing features for the web as well Demonstrated experience in maintaining social media accounts, especially Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Candidates would have experience with social media planning apps like Hootsuite/Tailwind/Planoly/Later.

Work samples/portfolio showing past graphics, content, and brand-related work experience required.

Experience with graphic design, ability to create designs for digital media purposes in graphic design programs, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Final Cut Pro, Audacity or other media editing software. Work samples or portfolio should include previous examples of work in these and other design programs.

Demonstrated experience in photo editing, with special emphasis on content creation for outward facing materials and social media platforms.

Demonstrated experience with MS Office, especially presentation design in MS PowerPoint

Demonstrated experience in SEO strategy & management

Ability to integrate PR/communication initiatives with social media;

Experience developing compelling content to generate response from audiences online; Experience in reporting on qualitative and quantitative analytics;

Ability to take quality photographs.
