UI Designer

Target Test Prep (description below) is hiring for a full-time UI Designer role to help manage and enhance the design of our website and our online courses. 

We’re growing like crazy and looking for a creative person who loves to write and wants to work at a nimble organization where we develop the playbook on the fly. We aren’t 100% sure how the UI Designer role will evolve as we continue to grow, but we know that the bulk of it will include the following:

• Being in charge of the UI and visual design of the website by balancing the needs of our users, our design aesthetic, and the objectives of the business.
• Defining and creating a design aesthetic for digital products that is based on company branding and user segment.
• Building rapid high-fidelity finished prototypes based on wireframes, landing pages, and marketing assets.
• Creating simple illustrations and icons to improve UI.
• Creating iterative designs that meet the objectives and incorporate feedback and user testing results made by the UX Designer.
• Confidently presenting visual design ideas and recommendations to the team.
• Keeping design files and structure organized.

Here is what we think a great UI Designer will be able to do:

• Have an eye for clean and artful design.
• Have excellent visual skills with sensitivity to human-centered design.
• Successfully translate wireframes into complete visual designs with correct asset delivery to development.
• Be proactive, establishing and promoting design guidelines and best practices.
• Have some experience dealing with development teams and know their needs.
• Act in a self-directed and autonomous way. 

Negotiable salary will be provided commensurate with experience. We’ll compensate well for the perfect candidate!
