Digital Designer

Contract Position

Faced-paced, award-winning political media firm based in Chicago seeks a freelance digital designer to lead our growing digital advertising team. The digital designer will be integral in the creative process and work on a full range of digital products, including social media videos and display ads.

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with Digital Creative Director and team members
• Design engaging content within the digital framework
• Communicate concepts concisely while being receptive to direction
• Be knowledgeable and stay current with different platform specifications
• Carry out digital design processes and best practices
• Provide thorough and careful eye to detail and quality control
• Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a digital designer
• Strong conceptual digital design and layout skills. Grasp of visual design principles and elements
• Experience in campaign development across websites, social media a plus
• Experience working with style guides across multiple clients
• Highly proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Working knowledge of After Effects
• Works hard and plays well with others
• Desire to work for progressive values
