The Position
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to create delightful, accessible, and memorable experiences for our web and mobile products.

Everyday people use our platform to partner with neighbors to build new relationships and accomplish tasks, together. These Clients provide the goals and revenue for our Marketplace, driving meaningful income for hundreds of thousands of Taskers across the globe. We need your help to craft this Client experience, which provided almost 1.1 million invoices in 2019.
This position reports to the Design Manager for Marketplace and works closely with product designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, data analysts, and stakeholders to craft technically feasible designs that drive business goals, support user needs, and add delight.
Qualified candidates will be experienced product designers who can approach complexity and ambiguity with verve and grit, and solve complex problems with elegant solutions.

Responsibilities
- Understand and advocate for everyday Clients on our Marketplace
- Conceptualize, prototype, test, and deliver designs that drive memorable and delightful outcomes
- Define proxy metrics to identify successful prototypes before implementation
- Communicate and collaborate to establish timelines for projects, get regular feedback on designs, and move projects forward to completion
- Partner with product managers, engineers, stakeholders, and other designers to ship the highest quality experiences
- Design with an eye on user experience, success metrics, and A/B testing
- Maintain regular lines of communication over slack, email, and video calls
- Set, communicate, and manage commitments to your peers

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a product design role (UX and visual design)
- Expert-level knowledge and speed working in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- A portfolio showcasing great looking consumer-facing web & mobile applications that have shipped and that were impactful for the company
- Comfortable collaborating with remote teams; reaches out early and often during the design process
- Interaction design and prototyping skills (Framer, Principle, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to optimize for pragmatism and delight, based on intended outcome
- Experience working directly with engineers to ship impactful and performant designs
- Able to conduct qualitative and quantitative research to make informed data-driven user-centric design decisions
- Has worked in an Agile development environment with engineers, data analysts, and PMs
- Strong communication skills; the ability to clearly explain your design thinking and process to anyone in the company
- Able to work through complex workflows and consider all the edge cases
- Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter who actively seeks ways to improve the user experience, both visually and functionally
- A positive attitude, an open mind, and a desire to grow and learn
