Director of Design
SPODIO is looking for an experienced Director of Design for our San Francisco Office. You will be working closely with Product Manager, Designers, and Engineers to further develop a leading Sportsbook offering and ensure the best possible product. This job is suitable for an experienced Sportsbook/Fantasy sports professional with 5+ years of experience in UI/UX role.
Responsibilities:
- Define, own, and promote effective product discovery and design strategy through deep user insights
- Responsible for creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, prototypes, Hi-fidelity screen designs for sportsbook mobile apps and desktop experience
- This person will be leading a team of UI/UX designers and report directly to the CEO
- Responsible for ongoing delivery of designs for SPODIO’s B2B products
- Collaborate and share your expertise with other designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders alike
- Define, design, and implement fun and innovative solutions to improve quality of sportsbook application
- Work with Product Managers and others to help define product requirements
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 7+ years of UI/UX experience
- 2+ years of experience as a senior of UI/UX team and managerial experience
- Proven record for solving difficult UI/UX design problems and simplifying complex business process
- Portfolio of work that illustrates your design process as well as solutions and results
- In depth understanding of fantasy sports, sportsbook, trading, stock, bank or financial product preferred
- Experience in designing both B2B and B2C applications
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS and Java script
- Demonstrates high level of proficiency in design, web and multimedia software and applications, such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or other UI/UX related software/tools
- Up-to-date with latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technology
- Bilingual: Korean/English preferred
