🔮 Lead Product Designer

Raycast makes it simple, fast and delightful to control your work tools (such as Jira, GitHub, G-Suite, etc.). We're looking for the first designer to join our small team to shape the product and eventually build a design team.

Raycast is a native mac application with a significant focus on building top-notch UI and interactions. We genuinely care about user experience, performance, privacy and ease of use. We had enough of dealing with slow, clunky tools, and Raycast is our attempt to make you enjoy your daily workflows and stay focused on what really matters.

We're a fully remote company. Founders are based in London, so we're looking candidates in UK friendly timezone (+- 3 hours). This position is for full-time employment.

In this role you will...

• Have full ownership of the look and feel of the product. You will constantly be walking a journey from idea to prototype to pixel perfect design.
• Build design language and system that would be consistent across different integrations
• Scale up the design team as we grow
• Design interactive prototypes to validate your ideas
• Help building the brand around productivity (website, media channels, blogs, etc)
• Stay close to our users, learning about how they use the app, what they're missing, and what they love

You will be a great fit if...

• You're passionate about clean and simple interfaces and human-computer interactions
• You like to move fast and not afraid to iterate quickly based on user feedback
• You can't stand slow tools and care deeply about productivity space and performance
• You have experience designing desktop/web applications (especially dev or productivity tools)
• You're "keyboard geek" (Raycast is fully optimised for keyboard, most of the interactions will happen without ever touching the mouse)
• You have some engineering background, or you designed developer tools before. Our primary audience is engineers, so being familiar with their workflows would be a big plus.
• You have excellent writing and communication skills (English)
• You're Mac user as currently, we build primarily for macOS (with plans to extend to other platforms in the future)
