Lead Product Designer

We are looking for a great Lead Product Designer to join us in our Pasadena, CA office. You are an experienced leader with 6+ years of designing and delivering successful products to the market. You are passionate about building products that people love. You have excellent communication skills and work well cross-functionally with other departments. You are hungry to learn and develop yourself in all aspects of design, product, and leadership. You are comfortable managing a small team of designers, using boba as positive reinforcement, and partnering with peer functional leaders!

Responsibilities:

Partner cross-functionally with Product, Development, and Marketing teams to help shape product direction and champion user experience
Mentor and inspire other designers to help them grow their talents and execute projects
Tackle countless UX and product challenges in unique and innovative ways
Oversee the creation of product flows, storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate user experiences and design ideas
Work with multiple teams to define and execute design requirements, wireframes, flow diagrams, product experience architecture, high-quality mockups, and specifications
Apply understanding of UI/UX patterns to projects with responsive web, mobile app, and user research
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills supported by strategic thinking and data-driven design
Expand and elevate design guidelines, patterns, and libraries

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a design-related discipline
6+ years of professional experience as a product designer, creating product design end-to-end for multiple devices and platforms
An extensive online portfolio of design work, showcasing your role in creating products with a clean visual aesthetic and eye for detail
Experience shipping digital products that drove business growth and solved real users' problems
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills supported by strategic thinking and data-driven design
Strong design foundation in UI/UX design, research, user flows, site architecture, prototyping, and user research/testing
Deep practical knowledge of user testing methodologies
Proficient in visual and web design tools such as Sketch and the Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite.
