Web Designer

Working with the digital strategy and creative team, the Web Designer will manage our website (WordPress platform) and support our digital and email marketing strategy. You will be responsible for ensuring our web site provides the best possible user experience, while helping drive key web marketing efforts. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a designated team to design, build, and test new landing page layouts in WordPress
  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance of web site, handling the queue of site fixes/changes and track progress until they are successfully completed
  • Support local SEO efforts by ensuring pages are updated and accurate
  • Develop creative solutions for improving website design and user experience
  • Contribute to strategic execution of all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns to drive online traffic to the company website
  • Learn and apply UI/UX best practices for our digital platform
  • Work with digital marketing team to measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A portfolio of work showcasing websites you’ve worked on
  • 1-3 years of previous work experience in a hands-on web design
  • A thorough understanding of Wordpress/customization applications
  • Understanding of FTP and file structure
  • A working knowledge of HTML, Javascript and CSS is extremely helpful
  • Ability to understand analytical site traffic data and respond to customers' patterns, trends and usability needs
  • Good sense of design, layout, typography and branding for the web
  • Understanding of web standards/web browswer capabilities and ability to create cross-browser and cross-platform compliant pages
  • Experience with email marketing preferred
  • Experience with mobile websites preferred
  • Ability to work with pre-existing assets to match look and feel for new features, as well as create new assets and design concepts from scratch

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE:

  • Four-year degree (or actively pursuing a degree) relevant to web design and/or digital marketing
  • The ability to build a web site or microsite from the ground up
  • Experience with email marketing through Salesforce (or similar email marketing service)
  • Familiarity with WP Engine web hosting
  • Certifications in Google Analytics, SEO, social media, or digital marketing
  • Health care marketing knowledge

SALARY RANGE:

  • $40,000-$55,000/year
  • Relocation package
