We are the online professional social network for bank and credit union professionals (think “LinkedIn meets Quora for banking”), empowering them to collaborate, share information and lead the evolution of community banking. Every day, thousands of verified financial professionals leverage a trusted community powered by CBANC to make more intelligent vendor decisions, navigate compliance challenges, answer questions and advance their careers.

Our network of US financial institutions already represents 85% of all US banks and our own personal network into the banking and tech industries is extensive (one of our BOD members is the former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and another was the first exec hire at Microsoft under Bill Gates.)


About this role

As a Product Designer at CBANC, you will work on a suite of innovative products that are transforming the US financial system. You will work fluidly and collaboratively with the engineering and product team through all aspects of the design process. Because of this, you should have a broad set of design skills. 


What you’ll do

  • In partnership with a product manager, help discover, prioritize and deliver on delightful product and customer experiences
  • Design features that ship quickly and with high quality
  • Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
  • Contribute to overall product design direction 
  • Research, design, test, validate, learn, support implementation of your designs, and do it over and over again with passion


Qualifications

You have:

  • 3+ years experience designing for web and mobile applications
  • Proven experience in conducting user research and understanding the problem before jumping into solutions
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate well with cross-functional team members by expressing your ideas clearly, setting aside your ego, and supporting solutions with data and customer validation
  • Motivated to manage your own work
  • You can prototype solutions at varying levels of resolution
  • Serve as an advocate for product design best practices 


Even better:

  • You have a fundamental understanding of what makes designs complicated when it comes to implementation
  • Experience running design sprints or similar methodologies
  • Experience with social communities or financial applications
  • Experience with design systems including Material Design
