Graphic Designer

Unique Skills:

The Senior Graphic Designer defines Gulfstream's visual style, designing compelling customer-facing experiences for a global audience. Concepts and designs support the sales of current and future product lines, product support and other corporate marketing projects as needed. Utilizing expert-level knowledge of design programs and thought leadership, develop creative solutions for company website, print advertising, collateral, direct mail, event support, presentations, etc. Team leader responsible for coaching designers/interns and overseeing project completion and art direction.


Education and Experience Requirements:

 

Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or related discipline required. Three (3) years experience in related field, preferably working directly with clients and vendors.



Position Purpose:

The Graphic Designer works within Gulfstream's brand guidelines to design compelling customer-facing experiences for a global audience. Concepts and designs support the sales of current and future product lines, product support and other corporate marketing projects as needed. Utilizing expert-level knowledge of design programs, develop creative solutions for company website, print advertising, collateral, direct mail, event support, presentations, etc. Mid-level position.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:


Essential Functions: 1. Elegantly uses type, color, illustration, textural elements and layout to achieve concept-driven design solutions 2. Designs for web, including user experience design (UX) and user interface design (UI) 3. Designs for print, including collateral, advertising, packaging, direct mail and magazine layout 4. Designs for physical space, including trade show and event support. Designs and produces digital documents for large format printing (signs, banners, etc.) on various media. 5. Applies consistent branding to all design solutions 6. Designs, quotes and acquires approvals for production. Submits files for production and follows up with customer post-delivery. 7. Responsible for accurate use of digital assets (photography/logos/fine art, etc.) in coordination with Marketing Management. 8. Provides document design and layout to all other Gulfstream departments/sites requiring guidance/assistance in producing quality documents, while complying with corporate brand/image requirements. 9. Facilitates collaboration within teams and other marketing departments. 10. Provides accurate and complete printing instructions to Printers. 11. Shares technical advice, resources and ideas. Works closely with team regarding design function and format, corporate brand image, printing requirements, techniques, paper options, etc. 12. Consistently applies brand standards to all designs/artwork.


Additional Functions: 1. May provide recommendations for capital expenditure assets with regard to graphics, equipment, hardware and software. 2. May work directly with in-house clients/customers. Perform other duties as assigned.


Other Requirements: 1. Experience working in a deadline-driven atmosphere. 2. Proven ability to consistently apply brand to all designs. 3. Technical expertise in Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and Mac/PC conversion. 4. Has experience creating, or working with, brand guidelines. 5. Is a creative, strategic thinker who delivers design solutions. 6. Quickly learns new programs and processes.
