Senior Product Designer, Design Systems
The Design Platform team is looking for an experienced product designer to help maintain and evolve Squarespace's mature design system. We're the connective thread that enables product teams to develop user experiences and interfaces across our platform by providing components, guidance, and tooling.
Working with designers, engineers, product managers, and content strategists on Design Platform you'll collaborate with the wider Product Design team to refine the Squarespace design language and evolve the future of our products. You're familiar and comfortable with the challenges of working on or with mature design systems and excited to inspire a high-bar of craft across our platform.
You'll report to the Product Design Manager, Design Platform. You'll have the option of working 2-3 days per week from our NYC headquarters or fully remote (U.S. only).

Guide the continued evolution of Squarespace's design language and user experience
Work with developers and content strategists to maintain, evolve, and create components and patterns for our library
Establish shared user experience patterns across different platform features
Be an advocate for platform cohesion, helping all of our product design organization speak in one unified voice
Partner with and influence other design leaders in the organization to drive impactful changes to align our platform experience
Ensure our work scales and flexes across a variety of global audiences, abilities, devices, and platforms
Who We're Looking For
You have 6+ years of Product Design experience developing user experiences and interface design
You've helped build, evolve, maintain, or contribute to a design system in a growing organization
You understand product ecosystems, and can develop complex artifacts and systems that affect multiple features.
You enjoy solving ambiguous problems and creating clarity through context, research, and collaboration
You are expert at navigating technical complexity and collaborating productively with engineers
You have experience facilitating workshops or other collaborative environments.
A portfolio of relevant design work is required for consideration. It should illustrate your involvement and how you contributed to solving specific problems.

Cash Compensation Range: $140,500 - $247,250 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
