Product Designer

Cruisebound is seeking a Product Designer to support its growing business. In this role, you will work directly with product teams & other designers to build the best online cruise booking product in the market. This is a full-time position - no agencies or studios please. You must be authorized to work in the United States or as a direct contractor.

Your responsibilities

As an early member of the Cruisebound team, you will be an integral part of making the consequential early decisions that will drive our growth. Your responsibilities will evolve as Cruisebound grows, but for starters, they will include:

• Take ownership and work independently on a few projects at a time across multiple parts of the product

• Shape the Cruisebound brand and ensure a consistent experience across the product

• Design pixel-perfect work that represents the Cruisebound brand and product experience

• Rapidly iterate and refine design concepts - from initial briefing through final delivery

• Work collaboratively with product owners & engineers to identify key design hypotheses and ensure design standards are met through deployment

• Test, learn and iterate on everything you do alongside the rest of the team

The ideal candidate:

• Has 5+ years of product design, UI/UX design, visual design, or equivalent experience including 2-3 years in a consumer-facing product design role.

• Portfolio that demonstrates evidence of launching software at scale in a fast-paced product organization across multiple markets.

• Ability to work independently to explore concepts from beginning to end, yet also crave healthy feedback loops with your ideas.

• Outstanding attention to detail with a proven track record of working within and contributing to a design system.

• Comfortable with A/B testing and using data to inform future iterations

• Proficient in Figma, including high-fidelity prototyping and design system

• Strong skills in UI/UX, interaction design, visual design, illustration and motion

• Values curiosity, humility and accountability

• Speaks English fluently

• Thrives in an ambiguous and fast paced environment

• Is comfortable working in a distributed work environment

• Has a passion for travel and/or cruises and regularly experiences wanderlust
