Junior UI Designer
Position Summary
The Ampush Design team is looking for a freelance UI Designer with an impressive portfolio, and knowledge of what it takes to delight our customers.
Working at Ampush means you’ll get to tackle the product design process and engage in early design build activities along the way. Projects will spread across responsive web, mobile, print, and interactive prototyping.
We seek someone who loves getting in the weeds to smooth out existing interactions and invent new ones. If you can make the complex simple, understand that the best interactions go unnoticed by users, and have a touch for simplicity in usability and design, we want you!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively to map user flows, prototype interactions, and design simple, usable, and elegant customer experiences
- Create high-resolution mockups across mediums: web, mobile, and email
- Rapid prototype in InVision or other tools of choice
- Follow style + brand guidelines on fonts, colors, and images
Experience & Qualifications *Online portfolio required to apply*
- 1+ year(s) of experience in a UI/UX design role
- Communication and organizational skills
- A strong understanding of the design process
- Experience designing and implementing UIs across desktop + mobile
- Working knowledge of Adobe CS, Sketch, InVision
- Degree in graphic design or another related field
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in user testing
- Big data information visualization skills
- Video editing
- An understanding of HTML and CSS
