UI/UX Designer

FORGE is a fast-paced web3 start-up co-founded by three successful entrepreneurs with the backing of key strategic investors in the video game industry. We are seeking a talented Designer to join our team.

The UX/UI Designer will partner with product and engineering teams, marketing and executive leaders to define the direction of new and current products. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working through ambiguity to help define and solve customer problems with a deep understanding of what makes a great product user experience. The candidate will also be well-versed in visual design. Additionally the candidate should bring a positive attitude, consistently display ownership, and champion solving user problems while considering business needs. The ideal candidate should be excited to design groundbreaking products!

This opportunity is open to remote applicants, but preference will be given to candidates located in California’s Bay Area, or to those willing to adopt a Pacific Time Zone schedule.

Responsibilities

Own and drive the design effort of new products from ideation to deployment
Collaborate with product managers to identify, prioritize, and define new products
Work directly with engineers to see UX, interaction, and visual designs through to successful implementation
Prototype to clarify and communicate design options and potential paths forward
Lead pre and post release surveys, interviews, and A/B testing to drive continual iteration that aligns with product and business goals
Collaborate with our existing design team
Maintain asset templates and help with occasional production design work

Requirements

3+ years of experience in UX and visual design with at least one large-scale project as a feature owner
Experience turning complex requirements into simple and engaging customer experiences
Show an understanding of information architecture, and take concepts into full design specifications
Have great taste and aesthetic sensibilities and can adapt to established styles
Be well-versed in the web3 space; familiar with popular blockchain and crypto products
Maintain a portfolio with visually appealing and well-explained UX/UI/interaction designs
Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop
Have a working knowledge of HTML and CSS
