Senior Product (UX/UI) Designer

Founded in 2007, Quimbee is one of the most widely used e-learning platforms for law students and attorneys in the United States. Quimbee has a massive digital library of content designed to help law students and attorneys succeed, every step of the way. We're looking to expand our team of talented professionals.

Quimbee is an online legal education tool designed to help law students and attorneys achieve academic and professional success. To accomplish this, Quimbee’s website and mobile apps must appear approachable, reliable, and easy to use. This is why we’re seeking an exceptional product designer with a deep knowledge of design systems.

This position is 100% remote. All you need is an internet connection and a quiet place to work.

You will play a critical role in owning and maintaining the design system that supports our products. You will work closely with the design, engineering, and product teams to create polished UI designs. You will aid with the evolution of the design system to better support our products and teams.

To be able to evaluate your skills and get back to all candidates, we’d really appreciate the chance to review your portfolio with your application. We’re looking for an insight into your methodology and design thinking, not just final designs. Personas, flows, wireframes, sketches–they all provide great insights for us. So while we’re very happy to browse your Dribbble profile, please attach some more behind-the-scenes material if you have it handy.

  • Responsible for all web app (desktop, tablet and mobile) and mobile app (iOS and Android) design

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field
  • 7+ years of UI/UX design experience
  • Expert-level knowledge of Figma
  • Extensive knowledge of prototyping within Figma
  • Experience working at scale with style guides, pattern libraries, or design systems
  • Experience working closely with engineers and other stakeholders to develop and iterate on interactive software experiences
  • Experience designing for a variety of screen sizes and platforms: for fully responsive web experiences and/or for mobile (touch-device) apps
  • Experience incorporating motion/animation into UI.
  • Solid understanding of UX and UI design best practices, specifically with e-commerce and SaaS applications, as well as mobile and responsive design
  • Strong sense of typography and visual design
  • Ability to adapt and change direction without issue based on data and stakeholder feedback
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work closely with creative, technical, and business stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Must have link to portfolio that includes desktop as well as mobile examples
  • Must be based and legally authorized to work in the United States

Benefits:

  • Salary range: $100,000-$160,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience
  • Profit share: We set aside a percentage of profits each year and then pay them out across the team
  • Group health insurance, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage
  • 401k matching up to 4% (100% matching up to 3% and 50% between 3% and 5%)
  • Unlimited paid time off. Our philosophy is that if you feel you need time off (for example, because of overwork, sickness, personal matters, etc.), we're not going to question that. We just ask that you don't abuse it and that you give us at least two weeks' notice if you plan to be away.
