Project Manager - 2D Animation
Job Description:
We’re seeking a contracted, remote project manager with real world experience bringing high quality eLearning, explainer, and marketing animations to life. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in managing animations or years of work as a freelance artist bringing animations to fruition.
Already have experience project managing for animation - great! Perhaps you’re looking to forge your own path with more flexible, remote work. Or maybe you’re a skilled illustrator or animator hoping to forge a new path, with experience managing projects on the side.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all relevant information, such as creative briefs, project details, and asset specifications, have been provided and are clear for project initiation.
Manage a video project from beginning to end
Create schedules using project management software
Utilize project management software throughout the project lifespan
Schedule client meetings
Set project milestones
Organize and manage artists at each phase of production
Review artist deliverables at every phase, ensuring quality and technical accuracy
Work with studio founders, creative directors and project managers.
Be responsible for delivering projects within their allocated budget.
Ensure project contracts and invoices are processed in a timely manner.
Skills:
Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects software.
Real world experience working on 2d animation projects
Strong design background; ability to consistently recognize design errors
Exceptional customer service & client relations skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Fantastic organizational and time management skills
Experience with computers and web-based management tools.
Ability to carefully review and quality control animations for errors - be they technical, design-related, or animation related
Detail oriented, self-sufficient and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to build rapport and work effectively with all team members and our clients.
Ability to manage a team of creatives working on numerous projects.
Qualifications:
A degree in design, illustration, animation or a related field, OR a proven track record of stellar performance in the world of explainer animations, eLearning, or marketing animations.
At least 2 years of direct experience managing 2D animation productions; either in a company, or as freelancer.
