Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is responsible for the concept, creation, and completion of strategic, brand-based print and electronic design projects that advance the mission, vision, and values of Boston University Questrom School of Business (Questrom) as well as the specific goals of the individual projects. Reporting to the Associate Director, the Graphic Designer has on-going responsibilities for projects and production, and the work that supports this.

Graphic Design:

  • Concept, design, and manage the completion of highly creative brand-based work for print and electronic projects including ads, brochures, billboards, posters, banners, fliers, pamphlets, print and e-templates, publications, web pages, etc.
  • Produce design, charts, graphs, and graphic and photographic imagery using relevant software
  • Prepare finished design files for vendors

Production and Project Management:

  • Understand the needs, budgets, and timelines for Questrom design projects
  • Assess project requirements and gather all information to do the work
  • Manage workflow and prioritize and deliver multiple concurrent projects on-time
  • Supervise print production, reviews proofs, and attend press runs as needed
  • Hire and supervise student designers

Required Skills

B.A./B.S. required, ideally in graphic design with at least five years of professional design experience and highly-proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other appropriate software.
