Visual UX Designer

Sound United is looking for a Visual UX Designer to work collaboratively on exciting products to Bring Joy to the World through Sound. Built upon legacies that span decades, Sound United is home to a vast portfolio of brands that define the home entertainment experience. In this role, you will design the user interfaces of our products and iterate upon them to ensure a great user experience.

Candidates can be located in proximity to Owings Mills, MD or Carlsbad, CA.

About the Role

Essential Responsibilities:

·       Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product development process where you’ll be expected to craft user flows and wireframes, build user interface mockups & click-through prototypes, and interaction design specifications

·       Work with a team of designers to contribute to, maintain, and curate UI design libraries for digital software experiences

·       Collaborate closely with product team members to transform user stories and functional specifications into wireframes, user flows, and prototypes

Required Qualifications:

·       Must have full eligibility to work in USA without sponsorship.

·       Strong experience in a visual UX/UI design role

·       Must have a strong design acumen, a willingness to take creative direction, and quickly concept different design directions

·       Problem solver that balances design solutions between user needs, business objectives, and product development needs

·       Excellent communications skills in writing and verbally (in-person or remote calls)

·       Solid organizational skills and strong attention to detail

·       Strong command of Figma (using styles, components, prototyping, developer handoff)

·       Basic understanding of usability and user-centric design on mobile platforms (iOS & Android)

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Working with Figma design libraries (using an atomic UI design is a plus)

·       Experience working with localization tools & plugins

·       Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (AfterEffects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

·       Foundational skills with tools for creating user flows (Overflow) and high fidelity prototyping (ProtoPie)

·       Experience creating and creating functional specifications for micro-interactions a plus

·       Knowledge and experience creating Lottie animations

·       Illustration, animation, or photography skills a plus
