Senior Product Designer - Hybrid, UK

We combine this with smooth UX and a seamless UI to create a familiar and branded experience at every event our product is used.

To achieve our business goals and accelerate our adoption globally, we are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team.

This position is a hybrid role, we expect you to come into our office approximately once a week to meet with product, engineering and business stakeholders.

You will report directly to the CEO and will be expected to use technical aptitude and visual awareness to create accessible, aesthetically appealing and meaningful designs as well as coach junior designers in your team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things creative and technology. You will be well-versed in translating ideas to UI design and creating responsive designs across mobile, desktop to tablet.

๐Ÿš€ Core Responsibilities:

Design Responsibilities:

  • Create a brand identity and design structure that can be used by the design team.

  • Create wireframes, UI/UX designs and prototypes where needed using Figma and other tools that you enjoy using.

  • Work on cross-platform user experiences covering mobile apps and desktop for Event Exhibitors, Visitors and Organisers.

  • Conduct usability testing to ensure the end-product design provides users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement.

  • Demonstrable experience with customer, competitor and market research to create an environment of understanding in the company for building the best product.

  • Continually improve and bring consistency to existing products to ensure they deliver an excellent user experience across web and mobile.

Team Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow designers within the team; this includes hiring and mentoring all levels of designers to deliver their best work.

  • Be responsible for identifying staffing, process or other resource holes in the design team and helping to fill them.

  • Inspire a strong team culture that results in the retention and happiness of the design team.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with your peers across all departments (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product, Engineering) to help solve both user and business goals.

  • Work with product managers and teams to improve the end to end product delivery process, including interactions with engineering, QA, product and wider business

  • Be responsible for advocating for the importance of UCD, UX + UX research, lean and agile methodologies throughout the design team and whenever interacting with those outside the design team

  • Engage with the management and running of the business generally

  • Ensure visual and brand consistency between all products and outlets

๐Ÿš€ Experience and Skills

  • 4+ years experience in product design for a variety of interfaces including Mobile, Responsive Web and Admin Dashboard

  • Demonstrable experience creating libraries, design systems and style guidelines

  • Previous experience working within a scrum and agile development environment

  • Demonstrable ability to implement UX/UI best practice and enforcing them across the organisation

  • Experience with Figma

  • 1+ year of Experience being a manager of a team of at least 2 people
