⁉️ What is Closer?

Closer is a real-time communications tool that allows people to communicate and collaborate in a remote native world as if they would sit in the same room.

It runs on a dedicated screen to give users the feeling of presence and the ability to pick up on social queues. Closer offers zero friction tap-to-talk conversations. Once a conversation is established, Closer makes collaboration easy by integrating with existing tools.

About the role

You are going to be the first hire next to the founders. We’re looking for an exceptional strong product designer that is excited about the problem we’re solving and can see themselves being part of the journey from today to IPO.

As a product designer, you’re at the core of defining how the future will look like. You spend time talking to our customers to learn more about how they work and communication pattern. You will be tasked to solve large high level problems that will define the future of the core product and company.

You enjoy working in a collaborative team where the best solution is created together and takes all considerations into account. Your positive “can do attitude” is contagious and together with your sense for quality you help raise the bar of the entire team to deliver better results on faster turn around times.

This is your chance to build a piece of core infrastructure that defines how millions of people are going to work for the next decades to come.

You might be a good fit if you

• can demonstrate taking broad problem statements to final solutions

• can design and build mockups that allow the team to validate designs early

• like to collaborate with engineers and product mangers on the solutions

• are endlessly curious on peoples behaviors and motivations and you can get to them through user interviews

• you have strong product design skills with exceptional visual taste and can bring your work to live in Figma

• have no ego because you deeply care about the best solution to win

• have a understanding of mobile and web technologies

• are pragmatic in your solutions, as you understand we’re aiming to build a lot with little

• you can work US east coast (± time zone)

🦸 About our team

The Closer founding team has worked in a variety of Silicon Valley startups. Philipp co-founded Keepsafe, a consumer privacy company with over 100m downloads, where he was the CTO and lead product. Tadej is a co-founder and CEO of Chipolo, an early version of Apple AirTags in Europe. Rok is a rare engineer who is deeply technical and cares about product polish simultaneously. After being the first Slovenian company accepted into YC (DoubleRecall, CTO), he was part of the core team of Layer.com, which won TechCrunch Disrupt in 2013.
