Lead UX Designer

About the Role

As the UX Designer at Knock, you will be part of the product team designing software in order to meet our customers’ needs. We are looking for someone with a strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects, ideally with experience at a SaaS organization. You must be able to provide a link to an online portfolio of successful projects/work. If your portfolio is password protected, please provide password for access to review.

This is an opportunity to join a fast growing, venture backed company and establish best design practices and processes. Work with developers, marketers and end user clients to realize your design vision and launch best of breed products. This is a critical hire for which the impact will be widely appreciated across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Illustrate and communicate design solutions by creating user task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups based on user needs.
  • Collaborate with members of all teams within the organization, specifically product and engineering
  • Drive the design review cycle, close on design requirements and achieve consensus
  • Assist with user research, usability and A|B testing
  • Regularly present your work to senior leaders for review and feedback

Experience Needed

  • 5+ years professional experience as a UX Designer or similar role
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design, visual design, and usability best practices
  • Proficient with design software and fluent with design tools (Adobe CS, Sketch, InVision, Framer, etc.)
  • Experience with Responsive and Adaptive design principles.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Demonstrated history of acquiring and interpreting user data and research
  • Shipped and maintained multiple products and features with an online portfolio that showcases this work and your process.
