Mobile UI Designer

AWeber is seeking a User Interface Designer with exceptional mobile app design skills to be the newest member of our UI/UX team. We need someone who is able to create high-profile, engaging interfaces while holding themselves to the same uncompromising standards already practiced by the team. Think you have what it takes? About the Role

The UI/UX Team provides support across a number of product teams. We’re currently looking for someone to work alongside our mobile team as we continue to develop our suite of mobile apps, including Curate - our industry leading app that helps you easily share content and compose beautiful emails on your phone or tablet. You’ll need to have a strong understanding of mobile UI patterns and trends, as well as iOS design guidelines and Android’s Material Design spec.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with team members in Product, UX, and Front End Engineering to effectively conceptualize and craft experiences that delight AWeber customers
  • Design high-fidelity user interface mockups
  • Translate low fidelity wireframes/UX prototypes into effective and appealing visual interfaces
  • Build simple prototypes for user testing of interface elements and concepts with Design and Engineering teams.
  • Create conceptual wireframes and user flows
  • Contribute to and maintain the AWeber style guides and frameworks
  • Create custom iconography and illustrations if necessary
  • Actively engage in strategic planning with Marketing/Product counterparts in early stages of projects

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable skills in design and layout, particularly for user interfaces of mobile applications
  • Awareness of current trends in mobile app and user interface design
  • Experience creating interface mockups using the Adobe Suite, Sketch, or similar design applications
  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools like Adobe XD
  • A strong understanding of mobile-first design and best practices in responsive layouts
  • An understanding of design best practices for iOS and Android
  • Ability to proactively recognize gaps in products and propose solutions
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage time efficiently and juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent collaboration skills
