Amazing Product Designer
With over 130M users, Zello is the most popular push-to-talk app in the world, recently reaching #1 overall in the AppStore and Google Play. Created by a small team in Austin, TX, Zello was a key communication tool for search and rescue efforts during hurricanes Harvey and Irma in 2017, and Florence in 2018. Thousands of companies including Honda, W Hotels, Cisco, Hubspot and IKEA use our business-focused ZelloWork product every day.
We are looking for a senior product designer to help us make Zello easier to use, more efficient, and more fun, while addressing the many design challenges of a live voice environment. You will work as a key member of the Zello product team focusing on our mobile apps for Android and iOS.
Requirements
- You have successful prior experience in a product design role for a popular consumer app (top 50 app overall) or a remarkable portfolio
- You are a native visual language speaker, presenting ideas and concepts in a succinct and thoughtful manner
- You are full of creative ideas and capable of validating them through rapid prototyping and user testing
- You have a deep understanding of and hands-on experience with modern UX design concepts and tools, as well as platform-specific constraints and guidelines
- You are resilient, reliable, and optimistic
Responsibilities
- Work together with our head of product to analyze user feedback, app analytics data, and market trends to identify and prioritize product features and improvements
- Research use cases and existing solutions
- Create personas and write user stories
- Create and test wireframes
- Create and test interactive prototypes
- Design pixel-perfect UI mockups and animations
- Define user metrics to be tracked
- Work with software developers to provide guidance and validate implementation
- Perform user testing, analyze feedback, data and iterate!
