MAIN FUNCTION:
The Front End Web Designer works as a member of the graphic design and web developer team. This position will deliver creative projects, related, but not limited to, multi-platforms website UX/UI design, regular maintenance and updates based on company campaigns and roadmaps, product content creation and maintenance through company-owned and 3rd party platforms. Possessing a blend of creativity and technical knowledge, you are a multi-faceted individual able to create content and product collateral, as well as understand web languages and apply them towards delivering a functional yet enjoyable web experience to PNY users.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Web/Graphic Arts, or equivalent degree
Five years’ experience in web design, with a minimum of 2 years of end to end project management
Strong sense of typography and sharp eye for graphics design are essential
Direct hands-on experience with frontend web development in multi-platform environments (desktop/mobile etc)
Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript required
Understanding of PHP and database structure preferred, knowledge of Wordpress, a plus.
Demonstrated computer graphic/design skills (portfolio required)
Proficiency with MAC and the adobe Suite (Incl. but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign…)
Knowledge of collaborative tools and Agile methodology, a plus
Experience in working in cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and organizational skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English
Self-starter with the ability to manage and motivate associates to meet project deadlines while evolving in a multi-priorities environment
Portfolio is required for consideration
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position will be onsite in our Parsippany, NJ office. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Perfectly balances creativity, organization to meet deadlines and accuracy within a busy production environment
Own company’s websites, with maintenance and updates on a regular basis with direct hands-on web development
Provide feedback on the frontend design of new and existing websites and landing pages, guided by web design best practices and analysis of competitors
Interface with managers to plan, design and lead web projects to execution including standalone landing pages, website refresh, website globalization …
Develop and manage timelines for web-related projects
Develops aesthetics, visual design and/or layout of artwork, marketing materials to enhance PNY brand and product image through various mediums (banners/landing pages/salestools)
Ensure high quality standards are applied to all creative executions in conformance with corporate image
Proactively identify and stay ahead of blockers, anticipate questions and provide thought out answers/solutions
Ensure code quality and coverage of web projects, identifying bugs and working with backend developer to remediate them
Manage and mentor one individual (remote) assisting with heavy backend development and data base setup
Provide technical and creative guidance and quality control to graphics designers and others, as requested, to ensure deadlines are met and sound communication strategies and practices are employed
Assist in other areas, as assigned
