About October

At October, we're reinventing financing for European small businesses. We're making loans easy, smart and fast, by creating a platform directly connecting companies and lenders, offering competitive rates and returns on both sides.

October was founded in 2014. Since then, we raised more than €50m, and lent €290m to companies in France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. Today we’re a team of 90, spread in 4 European offices (Paris, Madrid, Milan and Amsterdam).

Design at October

We think reinventing financing is a massive product challenge, that’s why we built October as a product-centered startup.

As lead product designer, your day-to-day would be:

• Designing and prototyping intuitive and accessible experiences across our mobile and web platforms.
• Recruiting, organizing and growing the design team.
• Working hand-in-hand with the product team on the roadmap.
• Collaborating with the tech team by communicating clearly about your design goals.
• Building and maintaining our design system, as well as our brand visual language.

A good candidate for this position would:

• have strong visual skills, passion for interaction design and an excessive attention to detail.
• have already shipped functional apps for both web and mobile.
• be a product lover — you cannot start your day without hunting down every new UX on the market.
• speak English easily.

We follow a 2-steps interview process:

1. An hour long on-site interview with the CPO and potentially the CTO.
2. A day on-site exercice, to meet the team and feel the mood.
