Lead Product Designer

We're looking for someone to establish our design culture and exert influence on how we approach the world of web3 analytics. One of the primary feedback we hear is that web3 analytics is hard because of data volume, accessibility, and a lack of bespoke tools; most people are writing custom code or wrangling SQL against poorly designed tables. Many ignore analytics altogether. The same “difficulties in access” used to plague the general adoption of the blockchain until various DeFi apps and wallet tools like MetaMask abstracted away the technical challenges - we expect this innovation to continue to usher in the next 1B users in Web3.

In the same way, we want to change the status quo of web3 analytics by reducing the friction of access and demonstrating the ease with which one can derive insight from the data. Our belief is that there’s much insight to be gathered from the blockchain data and that we could be the arbiter of web3 analytics.

You'll own the full stack of design responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Own the development of visual design language which will run across Product, Marketing, and Sales.

  • Operate within uncertainty and be motivated by the creative freedom to establish the 0-1 of “design” for a new organization.

  • Own the interaction design with a focus on creating a differentiated experience in analyzing different types of web3 data (smart contracts, tokens, exchanges, financial metrics, etc)

  • Collaborate closely with the founders to help establish the design roadmap

We're looking for someone who has experience in the different areas of design categories ranging from UI design, UX design, and an emphasis on interaction design. We’re looking for someone who is also willing to step in to help own areas that they may not be familiar with.

Experience in designing an analytics product is a huge plus, but not a requirement.

While this is a lead-level role, we'd also be excited to partner with someone who identifies as an up-and-comer. There is no requirement for your to have served as a head of design, or have 10yr+ of experience. Ultimately we want to work with someone who is open to growing with us.

You’ll have an opportunity to create an interactive experience that will empower anyone to explore and analyze blockchain data, thus removing the SQL barrier to web3 data analysis. Web3 also contains interesting metadata and data relationship that are network and graph-oriented which can spark new ways of analysis. We’ll be creating one of the very first purpose-built interactive analytics platforms for such data, and we’d love to partner with you.
