Senior Product Designer

MobilizeAmerica is a volunteer management platform and network that enables activists, progressive organizations and Democratic campaigns to connect and win.

We’re looking for an experienced product designer to drive the next iteration of our platform for progressive volunteers. In 2018, more than 1,000 campaigns and organizations used our product to recruit nearly 1 million volunteer shifts and attempt to contact ~40 million voters. We will be core infrastructure for progressive campaigns and organizations heading into the 2020 election.

The need for a well-designed experience in a historically under-designed space is huge. As our lead designer, you will own the UI and UX of all our product surfaces, including our public-facing branded pages, our campaign dashboards, and our volunteer touch-points across multiple channels.

Our platform allows for events to be easily posted online. Aligned organizations can discover events and drive their communities to action through branded interfaces. To maximize conversion and reduce workload, we’ve automated much of the communication with people who sign up for events. Analytics and business intelligence tools help organizations and campaigns understand impact and attribution.

Our work has been featured in the New York Times, Fast Company, NBC News, CNN, Politico and Bloomberg BusinessWeek. The Washington Post used this analogy: "think of MobilizeAmerica akin to the restaurant-reservation service OpenTable, but for shoe leather politics: A candidate can post and event for knocking on doors, and interested supporters can snag a spot."

Our team of 16 is based near Union Square in Manhattan. Our client list includes iconic and inspiring organizations like the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Human Rights Campaign, Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, the DNC and many more. Our funding comes from some of the most respected names in progressive and political technology.
