Experienced Mobile UI/UX designer

We are a funded startup that is looking for a designer to work on the first version of our polished product. We are looking to start with contract work, but are willing to bring the right person in full time. Only designers with substantial experience designing modern, forward-thinking mobile applications from the ground up should apply. We are looking to move very quick, so work would start immediately. 

This role would include the following: 

- Running through a design process to create a design for a customer facing mobile app, and SAAS style web backend for a new product

- Working closely with development team and founders to provide implementation ready design elements including specs, animations, graphics

- Constantly iterating design throughout the development process from MVP to Launch

Responsibilities

- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers

- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps

- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, interactions

- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate functions 

- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)

- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams

- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems

- Create a standard design language for software including fonts, colors and images

Requirements and skills

- 5+ years of proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role

- Substantial portfolio of design projects

- Knowledge of wireframe and feedback presentation tools

- Deep, up-to-date knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Figma, etc.  

- Strong communication skills, team spirit, and genuine desire to create great products

- Good time-management skills

- Bachelors in Design, Computer Science or relevant field
