As a Senior Mobile Visual Designer (m/f/x), you strive to combine the useful with the delightful. You create holistic user experiences that embody usability but also convey visual richness and emotional rapport.
At HERE, you will develop and apply a cohesive visual language for our software products and tools. Your UI solutions will be purposeful, have top visual appeal and optimally convey our brand.
You will work in a cross-discipline design team to ensure that the visual UI communicates the desired intent and drives user interaction, way-finding and information consumption successfully on current and emerging platforms. You are passionate about working hands-on to add value to our products and services and you are willing to drive your ideas from early concepts to the details of final implementation.
- Create user-centered designs by considering brand requirements, product requirements, research insights and technical requirements alike
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers and researchers to test your assumptions and improve ideas
- Work with software architects, scrum masters and developers to structure and implement your UI solutions
- Define strategic design issues and present to stakeholders when needed
- Work on the full UI stack across various services, output devices, screens and components
- Manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Who are you?
- BA/BS degree in Visual Design, Communications Design or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or equivalent professional experience
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Exceptional portfolio, with focus on UI and visual design for web, web-apps, mobile web and mobile native OSs
- A high level of proficiency in standard UI design software tools such as Adobe CC (particularly .AI,.PSD,.INDD), Sketch and InVision
- Strong technical knowledge of how web/mobile-based technologies apply to design. Strong knowledge of web and mobile paradigms on various platforms and screen sizes
- Ability to design, prototype & specify UI in static and dynamic way
- Experience working in R&D, collaborating with many individual product owners, designers and engineers along the way in an agile environment
