Senior Product Designer
Who are we?
MobiSystems is a product development company that creates and sells its own mobile apps since 2001. It is the company behind OfficeSuite and File Commander – two of the Top 10 apps the Google Play Business category. Our apps are installed on more than 300 million devices worldwide and preloaded on a range of mobile devices by Sony, ZTE, Alcatel, Amazon, Sharp, ACER, Huawei, Kyocera and many others.
MobiSystems is the developer and exclusive publisher of a range of best-selling mobile dictionary apps based on data from Oxford University Press, Harper Collins and other top publishers.
Currently we have over 120 employees in Sofia and offices in San Diego, London and Hong Kong.
The project
We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to work on our largest project, OfficeSuite for the Android platform. This is a fairly complex productivity and collaboration application with millions of active users, that would present you with many design challenges.
In this role you will:
- Create the design of new app features and updates from concept to release
- Design and prototype visual interfaces, wire frames, user flows, compelling interactions
- Collaborate with product management and the engineering teams
- Mentor and assist junior designers
We're looking for:
- A portfolio of beautiful and practical interface designs. We are very interested in your process, not just final results
- 4+ years professional experience with 2+ in mobile design
- Experience designing with Sketch (and handoff in Zeplin)
- Experience doing qualitative and quantitative user research (conducting UX test sessions, analysing test results and analytics, etc; we are using the UserTesting.com platform)
- A great sense of typography, layout, and general design principles
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Self starter attitude with excitement to work
- Someone who can take constructive feedback like a pro
- Bonus points for UI animation and illustration skills
- Bonus points for experience in a design leadership role
