Art Director

The Art Director for the Brand Creative team is responsible for creating the brand’s visual strategy and leading the design for 360 marketing campaigns, social media, paid media, Swipe Life editorial content, marketing videos, CRM, Tinder U, partnership campaigns and more. In this role, you will:

  • Spearhead the global brand look and feel, leading the creation and enforcement of global brand guidelines for Tinder
  • Contribute original concepts and creative strategy at an award-winning level
  • Present concepts and solutions clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders, mastering the art of persuasion
  • Lead the design of Tinder marketing campaigns, social media posts, paid media campaigns, marketing videos, Swipe Life editorial content, CRM, Tinder U campaigns, partnership campaigns, and AppStore/Google Play Store art
  • Work closely with copywriters and designers to roll out campaign assets in an organized and timely fashion
  • Demonstrate how your ideas tie together both brand, reactivation and growth strategies
  • Drive creative consistency through all executions and ensure consistent application of brand from internal teams and external agencies
  • Clearly articulate brand vision and constructive feedback to the design team
  • Work closely with multiple teams on their creative strategies, including marketing, business development/brand partnerships, Tinder U, CRM, recruiting, community and PR
  • Attend shoots and supervise production/post-production as needed
  • Meet all deadlines while managing multiple projects
  • Deliver ideas and work that exceed creative expectations and business goals
  • Stay abreast of the latest marketing trends, digital tools, and anything related to constantly evolving forms of communication and storytelling
  • Contribute to new partnership pitches and executive presentations
  • Uphold professional creative and design standards, serving as mentor to the other marketing designers

We're looking for:

  • Senior level visual designer with 10+ years experience
  • A portfolio that displays the ability to do work that appeals to diverse audiences with strong conceptual ideas in a wide variety of media
  • Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, Lightroom and After Effects
  • Strong understanding and mastery of typography, color theory, layout and imagery
  • Strong digital experience
  • Must be hands-on: this is not a supervisory role, this is a creative role
  • Creative excellence is essential
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Must be organized, deadline-driven and an excellent communicator
  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Communication Design or Motion Graphics
