UX Designer

EverFi is looking for a UX Designer to join our Product Design team. At EverFi we are designing interactive online courses and applications for learners of all ages. We are looking for a user experience designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging user experiences. You will play an influential role in the experience design of our current products and the launch of new product lines. The right candidate will have the ability to collaborate with a team of cross-functional experts, conceptualizing how our learners interact with our critical skills content.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers, Learner Experience Designers, Art Directors and Front-End Developers
  • Sketch,  wireframe, and prototype experiences in low-fidelity, in some cases elevating that work to produce high-fidelity mock-ups and design artifacts
  • Generate high-quality layouts in a quick, iterative fashion
  • Lead collaborative ideation & wireframing sessions with teammates and stakeholders
  • Identify user needs to craft testing plans, moderate tests, and incorporate user feedback

Here’s what you will need to know/have:

  • 3+ years of UX and UI design experience designing and shipping web or mobile applications
  • Well-versed in interface design trends, responsive best practices, and standard user-centered design methodologies
  • Be a constant advocate for an intuitive and accessible user experience
  • The ability to effectively communicate design decisions to developers, fellow designers, and project managers
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment alongside developers as an integral part of an agile team.
  • Have a portfolio of work showcasing thoughtful, innovative design work
  • Ability to properly document code and responsive behavior to developers. Fluency in HTML & CSS preferred. .
  • Experience using Sketch, Figma, or related design tools(... Knowledge of advanced prototyping tools such as Flinto, Principle, or Framer a plus.)
  • Familiarity with component-based design systems (ie. Bootstrap, Material) and web accessibility (WCAG 2.0) a plus.
