Frontend Designer (UX, CSS, JS, Sketch)
Tenet3 is seeking a Frontend Designer to join our on-site team in Dayton, OH. Your skills and creativity will shape our security engineering software into a fun to use, intuitive to learn, cutting edge web application. Your efforts will help us transform complex cyber security tasks from a challenging art, to a repeatable craft, and ultimately a well-honed science.
Essential Job Duties
You will support the design and user experience of our flagship MeTRA web application by
- Providing UI / UX / Visual Designer support
- Developing high fidelity mockups and wireframes in Photoshop, Sketch and other programs
- Produce HTML/CSS/ JavaScript components from wireframes and sketches
- Develop themes for the ReactJS / Material MeTRA application
- Advise dev team on design principles, usability and interactions
- Ensure MeTRA cross-browser style support
- Participate in peer reviews of code written by other developers
- Participate in development of software documentation and user manuals
- Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements
- Assist in researching, testing, building, and coordinating the conversion and/or integration of new products based on customer requirements
- Perform customer interviews and data gathering
- Support A/B testing and user-centric product design
Skills/Qualifications
- Established ability to perform iterative, user-centered design
- Expertise using Photoshop, Sketch or equivalent digital design application
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently with customers and team members
- Ability to write some pure JavaScript when needed
- Familiarity with common JavaScript libraries (JQuery, React, Angular, Vue, Ember or equivalent)
- Familiarity with designing for accessibility
- Eligibility to establish and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
Education/Experience
Our preference is a Bachelor's degree in digital media, graphic design, game design or equivalent.
