Before Boundless, immigrants have had to choose between paying thousands of dollars for an immigration attorney or navigating the complex system themselves, with no reassurances they’d get it right. Boundless is a team of immigrants and experts who have struggled through the complex, high-stakes U.S. immigration system. We are building customer-centric experiences to dramatically simplify it, giving immigrants and families access to the support and information they need to immigrate affordably and confidently.
What You’ll Do
We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to lead the core design of the Boundless platform as we expand to help millions of immigrants around the world. You’ll work directly with executive leadership, product management, and engineering to develop a product roadmap that expands the platform’s user experience, capabilities, and reach. Beyond project work, you’ll help further the design culture at Boundless as one of the earliest design leaders.
In this role, you will:
- Work within a product team to understand customer needs, business goals, constraints, market opportunities
- Plan, conduct, and synthesize research to improve product usability and identify new opportunities
- Design new features and services from the ground up
- Partner with executives and cross-functional leaders (e.g. product, engineering, growth), informing shared decisions with your unique design perspective
- Support engineers with design specs, assets and bug-bashing throughout development
- Work with fellow designers to expand and evolve the Boundless design system
- Foster a culture of design quality, creativity, and collaboration
We are looking for:
- 5+ years of professional experience designing digital products
- Web design experience for mobile and desktop
- Strong interaction design skills
- Strong visual design skills
- A portfolio that shows your proclivity towards intuitive user experiences
- Experience conceiving and iterating on features based on research, data, and strategy
- A strong collaborator and communicator with designers and non-designers alike
- Proficiency in Figma
