What You’ll Be Doing at Mercari:
At Mercari, we are user-centric. This thinking drives everything that we do and is integral to how we design and build our app and website. We continually invest in better understanding our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions in order to gain insights that inform our product strategy and UX design. As User Experience Designer, you will collaborate with many, including creatives, product managers, and engineers to optimally articulate our app and website user experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create user experience goals, priorities, and deliverables that align with company milestones.
- Create iterative designs that meet project objectives and respond to feedback, analytics, and user testing.
- Produce clear UX documentation for marketing sites, transactional flows and app experiences.
- Convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, user flows, wireframes and prototypes.
- Work across a wide range of projects, technologies and devices.
- Support development teams throughout the implementation cycle.
- Develop positive relationships across disciplines with designers, developers, and creative technologists.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to other user experience designers.
- Partner with multiple stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, organizational leaders, and other designers, to develop and implement clear UX design proposals.
