Graphic Designer

There’s tremendous opportunity to tell the Splendid Spoon story through brand and creative execution— and we’re looking for our first FT graphic designer to play a huge part! You’re a natural and gifted visual storyteller, can move fluidly between mediums, and are incredibly strong in the Adobe Creative Suite, with focus on Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.. You will create assets for email, web, print, and digital ads. You will work closely with Splendid Spoon’s Brand Marketing and Acquisition Marketing teams to design and deliver assets which embody and communicate Splendid Spoon’s brand and principles.


Responsibilities:

-Agile creation of paid marketing assets for social and display, including imagery and animations

-Design emails for promotions, lifestyle content, and product launches

-Design printed materials e.g. Splendid Spoon’s Weekly Collateral

-Create and optimize assets for website

-Create social media content e.g. Giveaways, Holiday-themed posts, Product launches

-Prepare and deliver digital files, including file size optimization, slicing, and repurposing

-Post Production of Splendid’s photography and video assets for digital ad creation 

-Adhere to Splendid Spoon’s content creation calendar and be proactive with creative ideas/briefs -Tenacious adherence to deadlines

-Be a brand guardian: maintain brand voice and guidelines across all assets

Must-Haves

-Minimum 3+ years of graphic design experience (experience with a food/wellness brand is a Splendid plus)

-Portfolio showcasing original and innovative digital and print design

-Knowledge of best practices for designing and optimizing content for emails, socials, and print

-Ability to create mobile optimized emails (Experience with Mailchimp is a Splendid plus)

-Ability to hold a strong design vision while remaining collaborative and open to new ideas

-Self-motivated, excellent communicator, able to organize, prioritize, and produce results independently

-Ability to balance short-term and long-term strategic initiatives, and work within tight deadlines

-Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)
