Design Lead
Position Summary: Lens seeks to shift the current data ecosystem from a world where platforms own our data to a world where individuals own their data and platforms subscribe to that data. We need a visionary designer who can help us rethink the basic way people interface with their own data.
We sell a physical device that serves as an individual’s personal data vault and server. This device is controlled through a mobile app and sits on a peer to peer network. Services subscribe to an individual’s data through the Lens network, and Lens enforces policies ensuring that individuals have complete control over where their data lives.
We’re looking for an experienced mobile or web app designer to help us build the interface for the Lens mobile app. Lens has extensive photo, video and graphic assets that the Design Lead will need to incorporate and build off of while following established branding guidelines. Other duties include creating copy and designing graphics for the website and marketing and pitch materials. You’ll be working primarily with the product team consisting of the Product Manager, CTO, and 4 software engineers. Lens is releasing our MVP product this November. There’s lots of space to grow in this role and help define a product that seeks to create a new world where individuals have control over how their data is used.
Day to Day
- Work with Product Manager and Frontend Engineer to iterate on designs for current and future sprint cycles
- Mock up wireframes for prototype testing
- Standups with product team to assess progress towards new features
Required Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in mobile and/or web design
- Experience with modern prototyping tools such as Sketch and InVision
