Senior Product Designer

Shrimpy puts your cryptocurrency investments on autopilot. We make crypto asset management simple and automatic for investors. And we’re a small, kind of dorky remote-only team that’s looking to grow. Also we love brunch, walking, and video games.

About You

You work well independently and asynchronously, but are capable of popping onto Slack calls like a boss. You raise your hand and your voice when you have an idea, and you have plenty of those.

You also have a bit of a finance kink that some have referred to as a ‘full-on financial fetish.’ You know at least a little about crypto and you’ve invested before. And you happen to have a passion for designing on-point user experiences. You sound awesome actually, can we hire you?

The Amazing Stuff You’ll Do

• Bring your product vision to life
• Test your hypotheses in-house and through user-testing
• Craft features from concept to working prototype
• Excel in an Agile environment because, and we should’ve told you this sooner but… we’re a tech company (just putting that out there is a huge relief)
• Communicate the product’s purpose and features to all stakeholders
• Collaborate with developers to align on expectations (delivery dates, final feature sets, flows)
• Make continuous improvements to our existing product
• Help guide our best practices and refine our standards
• Create simple, yet powerful end-user experiences
• Post dad jokes on our #random Slack channel (only when you’re feeling it)

Your Laundry List of Wins

• You absolutely destroy at working independently through a variety of collaboration tools: JIRA, Confluence, Notion, Slack, Google Drive, Google Meet, FigJam
• You excelled in a user-centric design team
• You understand the world of personal investing and finance more broadly
• You basically mastered a swathe of design tools: XD, Figma, Illustrator, and can pick up new ones
• You understand and respect the user-centric design process
• You know your way around web tech and built your own static websites
• You are patient, thoughtful, a great listener, and most important of all you love brunch/walks/video games (check ≥ one please)
