Qantas Hotels - UI/UX Designer

We are looking for

Qantas Hotels is looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to be part of our team. Our designers play a key role in solving real-life customer problems, and work to define solutions across our products and platforms.


Who you are

  • You are always learning, open-minded, collaborative, willing to experiment with new ways of doing things and open to receiving and providing constructive feedback.
  • Experience with a range of user research methodologies and practices
  • A healthy dose of empathy, pragmatism, flexibility and creativity that they can bring to the problem solving process
  • The ability to communicate design decisions and customer priorities to a cross functional team
  • You have an exceptional portfolio of work and a keen eye for detail
  • You have 5+ years experience in a dedicated UX or UI design role, working with web apps or eCommerce sites


What you'll be doing

  • Be the customer advocate for your product team
  • Explore UX challenges and create intuitive, accessible and seamless experiences for our users, always with the end-to-end customer journey in mind
  • Lead design practices within your team including sketch sessions, customer journeys, user flows, wireframes, visual and interaction design across all touch points
  • Run user research initiatives including user interviews, surveys and competitive analysis
  • Draw on data and user insights to validate ideas and identify challenges and opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define and create an experience that will meet the goals of our customers
  • Manage consistency across the Qantas and Jetstar Hotels customer experience
  • Share creative excellence and enthusiasm for meaningful design
  • Be involved in team stand-ups, working group discussions, retrospectives, showcases
  • Participate in team processes and standards, while promoting process improvement
  • Collaborate with team members from across Qantas and Jetstar to ensure an integrated experience for our customers
